FLEXFORM Around the World

FLEXFORM Around the World

Join us on an around-the-world trip that explores the interiors of some of the globe’s most illustrious homes. Brimming with vivid photographs, the new title Flexform Around the World invites readers to indulge in a behind-the-scenes peek into eclectic domiciles from the minimally chic to the bold and exotic, all of which share one thing in common — the good taste to have chosen FLEXFORM furnishings.

Established in the now-infamous furniture manufacturing district of Brianza on the outskirts of Milan, FLEXFORM was founded by the Galimberti brothers in 1959 during a time of great creative ferment in the region. Age-old craft traditions had begun to marry with modern innovation, all guided by a spirit of experimentalism that emanated from the nearby School of Architecture in Milan. The Galimberti brothers’ studio was no exception. By collaborating with some of the leading designers of the day, their modern furniture forms began to find their way into the grand apartments of Milan, villas surrounding Lake Como and even, perhaps most notably, the foyer of Teatro alla Scala. Flexform continues in much the same manner to this day — still a family-run business collaborating with some of the most avant-garde designers of the 21st century, pushing the frontiers of design ever forward.
