Japanese lifestyle brand MUJI is branching out and making its debut in the hospitality world with the opening of its first hotel in Shenzhen. Seeking to extend the brand’s philosophy, MUJI HOTEL ‘has been designed to reflect an anti-gorgeous, anti-cheap concept’. The six-storey building has a MUJI lifestyle store, diner and library on the lower levels and 79 minimalistic guest rooms perched above. The brand plans to expand with two more openings this year in Beijing and Tokyo.
