With no two rooms the same and spanning six heritage shophouses in Singapore’s Chinatown, the 46-room Hotel Mono is angled toward the design-conscious urban traveller

The structure’s refurbishment and update was overseen by Spacedge Designs, and a bold black and white visual language dominates both the interiors and readily recognisable shopfronts lining Mosque Street. An intriguing light fixture-cum-coat hanger provides a sculptural element in each room. The hotel also offers exceptionally good value, pricing in as a budget-friendly option yet offering guests a five-star experience.
